TESC Fiber Arts Studio

Project Date:

November 20, 2018

Project Description:

A featured edition to the Indigenous Arts Campus at The Evergreen State College. The Fiber Arts Studio reflects the structural systems of the Coast Salish First People and the Pacific Maori Cultural longhouse design. The installations of the Whakawae, the hand-carved entry surroundings, and the House Post Figures, expressing the storied histories of the Salish and Maori cultures' strong relationships to the sea, rivers, and lakes, complete this very unique building.
